The South Carolina Fraternal Order of Police continues to grow, and we need dedicated members from across the state to help move our organization forward. Our committees play an important role in strengthening local lodges, advocating for law enforcement, supporting our members, and advancing the goals of the State Lodge.
Committee service is more than holding a title. It means actively participating, sharing your knowledge and experience, and working with fellow members to accomplish meaningful goals.

Our Committees
Constitution and Bylaws Committee
Reviews proposed changes to State Lodge and local lodge constitutions and bylaws to ensure compliance with National and State FOP governing documents.
Compliance Committee
Helps local lodges meet organizational requirements by monitoring compliance, identifying deficiencies, and assisting lodge leaders with corrective action.
Recruitment and Retention Committee
Develops strategies and resources to recruit new members, retain existing members, and promote the benefits of FOP membership, including the Legal Defense Plan.
Legislative Committee
Advances legislative priorities established by the State Board, coordinates advocacy efforts with local lodges, and strengthens relationships with lawmakers.
Awards Committee
Manages the annual awards program by soliciting nominations, evaluating eligible nominations, selecting recipients, and coordinating award presentations.
Training Committee
Identifies training needs and develops opportunities that strengthen local lodge leadership and provide professional development for law enforcement officers.
Memorial Committee
Honors South Carolina’s fallen law enforcement officers by coordinating the annual Fallen Officer Memorial, maintaining memorial records, and ensuring appropriate recognition of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
