Join the Polar Plunge and Support Special Olympics

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics is proud to announce this year’s Polar Plunge events across South Carolina. These plunges bring together communities, law enforcement, and Special Olympics supporters to raise funds and awareness for a cause that changes lives. Each event promises not only a thrilling dip into icy waters but also a heartwarming opportunity to make a difference.

Below is the full list of upcoming Polar Plunge events:

  • Tuesday, January 21: Gamecock Plunge in Columbia
  • Saturday, February 1: Plunge at Myrtle Beach
  • Saturday, February 1: Plunge at Tega Cay
  • Saturday, February 1: Plunge at Litchfield Beach
  • Saturday, February 8: Plunge at Lake Murray
  • Saturday, February 8: Plunge at Walnut Creek in Lancaster County
  • Saturday, February 15: Plunge at Otter Creek in Greenville
  • Saturday, February 15: Plunge at Discovery Island in Mauldin
  • Sunday, February 16: Tiger Paw Plunge at Clemson
  • Sunday, February 16: Plunge at Beavers Den in Kershaw County
  • Saturday, February 22: Plunge at Isle of Palms
  • Saturday, February 22: Plunge in Spartanburg County
  • December TBD: Plunge at Lake Greenwood
  • December TBA: Plunge at Langley Pond in Aiken County

Each plunge offers a unique experience, but the mission remains the same: supporting the athletes of Special Olympics South Carolina. Whether you’re a daring participant or a supportive spectator, your involvement makes a significant impact.

Register today for an event near you, volunteer your time, or contribute by making a donation. Together, we can help ensure that every athlete has the opportunity to shine, both on and off the field.
