From August 3–8, 2025, members of the South Carolina Fraternal Order of Police are traveling to Miami Beach, Florida, to take part in the 67th National Conference and Exposition of the Fraternal Order of Police. Held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, this biennial event marks 110 years of professional law enforcement leadership by the largest and oldest law enforcement labor organization in the United States.

Every two years, FOP members from across the country gather to conduct the essential business of the Order. During the week, delegates will vote on proposed amendments to the National Constitution and By-Laws, participate in seminars, attend committee reports, and elect national officers. South Carolina has proudly endorsed all incumbent members of the National Executive Board.
South Carolina’s delegation will also attend education sessions to bring timely and relevant information back to our members, explore the expansive EXPO for new member benefit opportunities, and engage in key discussions that shape the direction of the Order.
“This conference is not just a gathering. It’s where the future of law enforcement is shaped,” said SCFOP President John Blackmon. “We’re proud to be part of those discussions and to bring new knowledge, resources, and opportunities back to South Carolina.”
In addition to official business, the National FOP is collecting patches from agencies across the country to build a one-of-a-kind patch wall at the Expo. The wall is a tribute to the unity, service, and strength of our profession. South Carolina is honored to be represented.
Throughout the week, SCFOP will share updates from the conference on social media. Be sure to follow along as we represent the interests of South Carolina law enforcement on the national stage.
