Today, we remember South Carolina Highway Patrol Patrolman Fulton Anthony.
On this date in 1973, Patrolman Anthony was shot and killed by a prisoner while transporting the man to jail in Greenville County. Patrolman Anthony had served with the South Carolina Highway Patrol for 14 years. He was survived by his wife, daughter, four sisters, and brother.
