On Wednesday, December 11, at 11:30 a.m. EST, law enforcement officers from across the nation will gather at the Upper Senate Park at the U.S. Capitol to advocate for fairness and equality in our Social Security system. This rally is a crucial step in our mission to repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO)—provisions that unfairly penalize many public servants, including law enforcement officers.
Why This Rally Matters
The Social Security Fairness Act represents a significant effort to right the wrongs caused by WEP and GPO, which reduce or eliminate Social Security benefits for those who have dedicated their careers to serving the public. This rally is a unique opportunity for law enforcement officers to stand united and ensure Congress hears our call for change.
