Supporting Laurens County Detention Deputy Chris Johnson

March 5, 2024

In the face of adversity, the law enforcement community stands united, extending support and solidarity to one of their own. Laurens County Detention Deputy Chris Johnson, along with his girlfriend and her teen daughter, recently faced a traumatic incident involving a drunk driver. The aftermath left them with severe injuries, highlighting the dangers that officers and their families can encounter even in their personal lives.

According to the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred in February, resulting in a cascade of injuries for Deputy Johnson, his girlfriend, and her daughter. The impact of the collision was devastating, with fractures, internal bleeding, and severe lacerations affecting all three victims.

Deputy Johnson’s left foot and three ribs were broken, and he experienced internal bleeding. Additionally, he suffered a broken right wrist, cuts, and burns, underlining the physical toll of the incident. His girlfriend and her teen daughter also endured significant injuries, further emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

In times like these, it is crucial for the law enforcement community and the public to come together to support those who risk their lives daily for our safety. Deputy Johnson’s dedication to serving and protecting the community deserves recognition, especially in the face of such adversity.

To extend our support, a fundraising page has been created to assist Deputy Johnson, his girlfriend, and her teen daughter in their recovery. You can contribute to their well-being by visiting the official GoFundMe page: Link to the GoFundMe page.

As advocates for law enforcement, let us stand united behind Deputy Chris Johnson and his loved ones during this challenging time. By contributing to the GoFundMe campaign and spreading awareness, we can make a meaningful impact on their journey to recovery. Together, we can show our unwavering support for those who dedicate their lives to safeguarding our communities.
