Deadline for State By-Law Amendments Proposals

As per our Constitution and By-Laws, any amendments to those documents must be made at least sixty (60) days prior to the convening of the next conference

 

Article 10 Amendments

Section 1. Only a Subordinate Lodge or a majority of the Board of Directors of the State Lodge may propose an amendment to this constitution and or by-laws. Such proposal by the Board of Directors shall be in resolution form, stating the reasons for the amendment, be attested by the signature of the secretary, bear the seal of the lodge, and state the date of the meeting at which it was adopted.

Section 2. Proposed amendments to this constitution offered by a Subordinate Lodge shall be submitted in writing to the secretary at least sixty (60) days prior to the convening of the next conference. The secretary shall mail to each Subordinate Lodge a copy of such proposed amendment at least thirty (30) days prior to the next conference. The proposal then shall be submitted to the conference. Upon adoption by a 2/3 vote of the registered conference delegates, the proposed amendment shall become a part of this constitution.
