Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

Each year during Police Week, law enforcement officers, and their agencies honor the fallen officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. This event brings the entire police family together in a show of support and remembrance for these officers who were part of our lives. These officers made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting the citizens of our community.

The Memorial Service is a way to remember those we have lost, and it helps the surviving family members find the strength to continue. The memorial binds all of us together. To learn more about Police Week, visit this website at www.policeweek.org

Always remember the fallen heroes of our communities.
