The Fraternal Order of Police Legal Defense Plan, Inc. was created by the National FOP to administer the FOP Legal Defense Plan, Inc.. This program is designed specifically to cover the law enforcement exposures faced by members of the FOP Legal Defense Plan, Inc. pays legal defense costs on behalf of participating members for the following actions and proceedings:

Plan A - $199 per year

• Coverage A - Administrative
• Coverage B - Civil
• Coverage C - Criminal
• Coverage D - Administrative Off-Duty

Plan B - $64 per year

• Coverage B - Civil
• Coverage C - Criminal

HR-218 Coverage

Federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004
The FOP Legal Defense Plan, Inc. is offering HR-218 coverage for FOP active and retired law  enforcement officers.

Legal defense coverage will be provided for civil or criminal claims associated with the HR-218. The  annual coverage limit will be $25,000 at a cost of $50.00 per participant.

Please note if you are currently an FOP Legal Defense Plan, Inc. participant, coverage for the HR-218  is automatically included.
